Thanks for a Successful Event

What a great day was had by all who attended Culpeper’s 1st Green Living Expo. It’s clear that many are interested in “Living Green” and learning more about it. The event was a wonderful success.  With over 40 vendors sharing resources on saving money while promoting green and sustainable living, attendees were able to spend time exploring ways in which they can encompass these resources into their daily lives. To quote one attendee, “the event was fresh and clean…the diversity of vendors was nice and the educational seminar I attended was very informative…”

The Piedmont Virginia Building Industry Association and the Green Building Resource Center want to thank everyone who attended and the sponsors, participants and volunteers for their effort in helping make the Green Living Expo such a success.

Don’t miss next year’s Green Living Expo! We are looking forward to our plans of making it bigger and better! Stay tuned for a date.

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

For some, “Green Living” has been around for a while; for others, it is a new concept. No matter which category you fall in, living “green” is not a fad, “green” is more than a buzz word, and “green living” is here to stay.

To help inspire, inform and educate area residents, plans are underway to bring Culpeper a “Green Living Expo.” This all day event is open to the public. It will feature green products and services from local and national businesses.  It is a family event with exhibitors, activities for children, a raffle, and information sessions. It will benefit those familiar with “green living” and those who want to learn more about it! There will be something for everyone!

Did you know? October is Energy Awareness Month, first observed in 1981, where the Department of Energy promotes the wise and efficient use of our nation’s energy.  Although the Expo is being celebrated a week later, we need you to come help us promote the importance of a clean energy economy.  We hope to see you there.

You won’t want to miss this event, so mark your calendars for Saturday, November 5, 2011. Stay tuned and check back for more information.
